AdU-CCIT Receives Certiport's Top Producer Award

The award was formally received by Dr. Leonard L. Alejandro, Dean of the College of Computing and Information Technology (CCIT), during the Top Performing Certiport Authorized Testing Centers Recognition Ceremony held on July 24, 2026, in Makati City. Adamson University is one of only seven institutions in the Philippines to receive this prestigious recognition. CCIT Recognized at LEARN Fair 2026 for Outstanding Library Resource Use

The Adamson University – College of Computing and Information Technology (CCIT) has been recognized as Top 2 in library resource utilization for SY 2025–2026. This achievement highlights CCIT’s strong commitment to academic excellence, active engagement with library resources, and sustained support for research, learning, and information literacy initiatives. The award was conferred during the LEARN Fair 2026 held at the COPOTY Hall last April 7, 2026. It was received by CCIT Dean Dr. Leonard L. Alejandro, CS Chairperson Ma. Christina R. Navarro, IT&IS Chairperson Archie G. Santiago, and Faculty Library Committee Members Jessie Alamil and Anette Daligcon. The recognition was presented by University President Fr. Daniel Franklin E. Pilario, CM, Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Rosula S.J. Reyes, and Director for Library Services Ms. Judeelyn S. Bundoc. CCIT Recognized as Certiport Authorized Testing Center, Achieves Record-Breaking Certifications

Adamson University’s College of Computing and Information Technology (CCIT) continues to champion digital upskilling through its strong partnership with Innovative Training Works in delivering industry-recognized certification exams. In a milestone achievement, CCIT was formally recognized as a Certiport Authorized Testing Center, with Dean Dr. Leonard L. Alejandro receiving the Certificate of Authorization at the Certiport Institutional Partners Meeting held at Jade Garden, Makati City. Last year, CCIT proudly certified 867 students and 21 faculty members as IT Specialists across multiple domains—including HTML and CSS, Databases, Python, Networking, Network Security, Software Fundamentals, and Cybersecurity—marking the college’s highest number of certifications since the program began in 2019.

The program highlights the role of certifications, micro-credentials, and the MIT program in building a stackable, future-ready career in technology. This year, CCIT also celebrates the remarkable achievement of 867 newly certified IT Specialists, with a magazine-style photo booth available for participants to commemorate the milestone.

CCIT Faculty Attends Real-World Analytics Workshop

As part of the College of Computing and Information Technology's commitment to continuous faculty development and industry alignment, CCIT faculty members participated in "From Theory to Application: Bringing Real-World Analytics into the Classroom," an exclusive hands-on faculty workshop. Representing Adamson University were Mr. Jerome Alvez and Mr. Paul Jacob Cruz from the Computer Science Department, and Mr. Archie Santiago and Mrs. Maricel Barrameda from the Information Technology and Information Systems Department. The workshop was held yesterday, 29 July 2026, at the FEU Institute of Technology, Manila. Organized by SAS, the workshop equipped participants with practical, classroom-ready teaching approaches through hands-on experience with real-world analytics workflows. Faculty members also gained access to SAS software and teaching resources while exploring strategies for aligning the curriculum with current industry needs and expectations.
